For this month’s Parents and Allies of Trans (PAT) gathering, we are going to screen a movie called "Prayers for Bobby". The movie is based on a true story of Bobby Griffith and his mother, who after his son’s suicide, became an iconic activist for the national association PFLAG, urging parents to understand and accept their children's sexuality and gender identity.
We encourage parents and allies of trans to come to this gathering and communicate with each other, and also hope that parents will have a better understanding towards their trans children.
