尊敬的各界人士：
 
我們作為一個致力於服務跨性別人士的機構，對香港政府近日發布的有關修改更改香港身份證性別記項政策的新聞稿表示關注和擔憂。 儘管我們認可政府努力修訂政策以更好地滿足跨性別社區的需求，但我們認為其中存在對由女性重置為男性跨性別者和由男性重置為女性跨性別者的不公平。
 
在政府新政策下，一般未完成整項性別重置手術的人士必須滿足特定手術要求才能申請更改其香港身分證上的性別記項。 具體而言，由女性重置為男性跨性別者需要進行切除乳房手術，而由男性重置為女性跨性別者則需要進行切除陰莖和睪丸手術。 我們認為這種要求有明顯的不公平性。
 
更進一步，我們注意到政府對由男性重置為女性跨性別者的手術要求中，包括了絕育手術的要求，而由女性重置為男性跨性別者並無此項，無論從人權或人道立場角度來看，這兩者的要求差距甚遠，甚至是極為不公平的做法。
 
我們強調，跨性別人士的性別認同是一個多元化、個人化的經驗，不應該只透過身體手術來界定。 許多跨性別人士因為各種原因無法或不願意接受整項性別重置手術，但他們的性別認同與所有其他人一樣應該得到尊重和承認。
 
因此，我們呼籲香港政府重新審視其更改身分證性別記項政策，並採取更包容和多元化的立場。 政府應該致力於建立一個能夠尊重並保護所有人性別認同的社會環境，而不是將其局限於特定的生理條件。
 
我們也願意與政府及其他利害關係人進行對話，共同探討如何更好地支持跨性別社群，並促進社會的包容與公正。

Statement from Transgender Support Organization

To whom it may concern,
 
As an organization dedicated to serving transgender individuals, we express our concern and dismay regarding the recent announcement by the Hong Kong government regarding the modification of policies related to changing gender markers on Hong Kong identity cards. While we acknowledge the government's efforts to revise policies to better meet the needs of the transgender community, we believe there are unfair practices concerning individuals transitioning from female to male and from male to female.
 
Under the new government policy, individuals who have not undergone complete gender reassignment surgery must meet specific surgical requirements to apply for a change in their gender marker on their Hong Kong identity card. Specifically, individuals transitioning from female to male are required to undergo mastectomy surgery, while those transitioning from male to female are required to undergo penectomy and orchidectomy surgery. We believe these requirements demonstrate clear unfairness.
 
Furthermore, we note that the government's surgical requirements for individuals transitioning from male to female include sterilization, whereas no such requirement exists for individuals transitioning from female to male. Regardless of the perspective of human rights or humanitarianism, the disparity between these requirements is substantial and even highly unfair.
 
We emphasize that gender identity for transgender individuals is a diverse and individualized experience that should not be solely defined by surgical procedures. Many transgender individuals cannot or choose not to undergo complete gender reassignment surgery for various reasons, yet their gender identity should be respected and recognized as much as anyone else's.
 
Therefore, we urge the Hong Kong government to review its policy on changing gender markers on identity cards and adopt a more inclusive and diverse stance. The government should strive to establish a societal environment that respects and protects the gender identity of all individuals, rather than limiting it to specific physiological conditions.
 
We are also willing to engage in dialogue with the government and other stakeholders to explore how to better support the transgender community and promote societal inclusivity and fairness.

跨越兩代的性別鴻溝出版計劃

《跨越兩代的性別鴻溝》出版計劃

致各位跨性別及性別非常規人士及貴家長：

大家好！本人是社會福利署的臨床心理學家林晧明。本人正著手編寫一本名為《跨越兩代的性別鴻溝》的書刋，希望透過搜集大家面對自己或子女性別身份的心路歷程，將大家一路走來的一點一滴結集成書，讓正在面對有關情況的年青人和家長更能互相明白對方的處境和想法，從而能繼續彼此愛護和體諒。

是次資料搜集會以問卷形式進行，問卷形式大致像小學生的擴充句子練習一般，請大家按自己對每個提示語句的聯想寫出你有關的體驗、想法或感受。大家只須填寫你想回應的題目，無須勉強回答所有題目。

是次資料搜集將會以不記名方式進行，並只會搜集基本的個人資料包括性別認同及年齡，不會要求你留下任何聯絡方式。所有搜集得來的資料亦只會被用作編寫此書刋，以及日後有關出版及推廣書刋的活動之用。所有問卷會在書刋出版後被銷毁。

注意：本人明白和關心是次問卷的個別題目有可能會牽動你的負面情緒，若你發現自己在提供資料的過程中或完成問卷後出現顯著的情緒波動，本人鼓勵你與你既有的友朋輔導員、社工、心理學家或精神科醫生尋求協助。你亦可致電社會福利署熱線電話2343 2255向我們的職員求助。

Women of Power 2021

跨性別資源中心主席梁詠恩，很榮幸獲Prestige Hong Kong雜誌選為其中一位年度女性Women of Power 2021，梁主席表示：「作為一位跨性別者，我一直努力於讓社會看見性別的多元色彩，我不會覺得自己在性別重置後就是一位女性，因為我認為，女性的定義並非在於其生理構造，而是一個身分，讓我們在社會上能夠同心協力，打造的一個更和諧完美的社會。」

The chairperson of TGR honored to be selected as one of the "Women of Power 2021" by Prestige Hong Kong Magazine. Joanne said:"As a transgender person, I have been spending my life effort to let our society see the beauty of gender diversity. I won't say the sex reassignment surgery has turned me into a woman. For me, the definition of women is an identity that allows us to work together to create a fair and harmonious society without barriers."

機構聲明：拒絕服務條款 Declaration: Refuse of service right

今天機構的WhatsApp差不多在同一時間收到了兩位跨性別者的查詢，一位我們聊了很久，也十分愉快。另一位希望我們能夠為他寫證明信作申請BNO更改性別之用，我們很有耐性的為他解釋怎樣可以處理，他說看到我們的一個YouTube視頻，說要這個服務。我解釋若要我們寫信，需要與當事人面對面見過面，而且要接觸過一年以上（依照BNO的原則），才可以為他開出證明，照現在的情況我們幫不上忙，跟著他就惡言相向。我們為了保護機構的正常運作，及以免浪費時間資源，就將他封鎖了。

我想向大家解釋，我們過往提供免費的服務，都是用機構其他收入，向使用者額外提供的，並非是免費午餐。若有不滿，大可找其他人幫忙，我們過往的付出，已令機彈盡量絕，現在已無任何有支助的項目在手，亦因為不少在機構中說幫過手的義工，為機構帶來了嚴重的傷害，我們已停止大部分實體的服務項目了。現在TGR仍然勉力支撐為有需要的跨性別者提供服務，懇請不要濫用我們的服務及愛心，我們會衡量將力量留給值得幫助的人，本機構有權拒絕提供任何服務予不珍惜者。

We received two enquiries through our official Whatsapp today. One of them was a pleasant and enjoyable conversation that we will keep in touch in the future. The other one was about the process for gender change on BNO. The enquirer learned about the service from our YouTube video, and thus reached us to know more related details. 

We explained to them that we have to know the person for at least a year (according to the BNO application requirement), in which we meet face to face, before we may issue the letter for gender change on BNO. Therefore, we are not able to provide the service for the time being. So instead, we suggested seeking assistance from professionals listed on our website.

Unfortunately the enquirer was not satisfied with our reply and got back with insolent comments about our service. The contact was finally blocked for the sake of smooth and sound operation of our Whatsapp channel.

We would like to clarify that the free services we provide are in fact self-funded, meaning that they are not “free of cost”. Since we are no longer sponsored, our financial condition is turning shaky. Moreover, we did experience aggravation caused by some of our ex-volunteers, leading to a halt of many actual services.

Still, TGR has a mission to stand for and to be the support for the transgender group. However, we would like to see no abuse of our effort and devotion. We will allocate our cherished resources for the ones in need. We reserve the right to reject any service abusers.

2021-10-21 台灣文化大學演講

本中心創辦人兼現任主席Joanne（梁詠恩）與台灣活躍同志基督徒Abraham（亞伯拉罕）獲台灣文化大學邀請於2021年10月21日在陽明山校園本部進行了3場以多元性別為主題的演講，反應熱烈，Joanne已是第3次於文化大學分享跨性別的心路歷程。
