On 4th of June, The Court of Final Appeal of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region rejected the appeal from the Director of Immigration regarding the issue of dependent visas. The result suggest the women, who identified as QT, should be granted a spousal visa which she had initially been denied. It is time for the government to introduce legal frameworks and policies to recognize the same-sex relationships and protect LGBT people's rights.
